2/08 Paul Pitts Joins Imperials Staff

The Imperials are pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Paul Pitts, to head up the Percussion staff. Some Imps. alumni may remember Paul, as he was the imposing Drum Major of the Boston Crusaders in the mid 70's. Paul comes to us with very high credentials. He taught the Crusaders for many years and was band director at Oliver Ames H.S., Nashoba Valley H.S. to name a couple. Paul is now the Director of Fine Arts at the prestigious Boston Latin H.S. Paul is a graduate of New England Conservatory. He is a teacher at heart and has already demonstrated how much he cares about teaching percussion and his students, while not saying a word of how supremely qualified he is. The Imperials are truly lucky to have Paul around!

Sincerely, John Stark

The Imperials in Pembroke Make More History

On Sunday, May 7th, 2006, at approximately 11:00am the Imperials will be on hand to kick off the annual Pembroke Fish Fry, at the Herring Run!

The Fish Fry is the biggest fund raiser for the Pembroke Historical Society and since the Imperials are certainly part of Pembroke’s history, we were graciously invited to appear.

This is an excellent opportunity for the Imperials to show the town of Pembroke that they wish to write more history together!

2006 Spring Fever Another Success!

By John Stark

It seems the big Imperials reunion of 2002 was only yesterday but now we have just completed our forth successful Spring Fever Dance. One of the Remarkable things about this event is that we seem to see different faces each year. It seems that if some people can't make it one year, they come the next. But the important thing is that we see enough to have a fun night and to help support the Imperials! This year was no exception. The exciting thing about this year is that we had a strong showing of people from the new corps and even the younger members came with their families.

The theme of the night was Mexican and we were treated to a delicious Mexican fare. Thank you, Mark Cahill for arranging that! We were also treated to a great night of music from Dennis O'neill's newly formed band. What a tasteful song mix you guys have, Dennis!

We also had some great prizes donated, thank you to everyone who hustled to get those! Also, thanks to Sue Chapman and the dance committee for pulling it off again! The funds raised will go very far in helping us in our preparations for DCA in Rochester, NY!
